When the Amerind Foundation recently inherited a property on Karl Avenue, Monte Sereno, we were the thankful beneficiary of a generous friend, while at the same time confronted with the overwhelming task of having to sell it for maximum advantage to our endowment. This could have proved daunting but for the energy, talents, and consistent helpfulness of one of your associates, Ms. Ducky Grabill.

I cannot find words to adequately convey to you what a pleasure it was working with her and the degree to which, over the past several weeks, my respect for Ducky's efforts on our behalf has grown. I am convinced you realize what an asset she is to Cornish & Carey and simply wish to add my positive sentiments on her behalf.

When I was in California this past May to begin Arnerind's attempt to market the property, I explained my goals to her. Her reply was, "I can do that"---not a lot of explanation why our expectations were not possible. That positive response told me that Amerind had found the appropriate representative, and I never had a moment's reservation throughout the sale process that we had made a mistake.

We wanted you to know what a great job Ducky Grabill did in assisting us with a relocation from the Chicago area to Los Gatos this past summer

Not only did she find us a house in the limited time we had availabe to look, she went far beyond what we would have expected of a realtor. Particularly impressive was her ability to arrange a slew of inspectors for the house all on the same day so we could arrange to be there for the inspections. Then she took it on herself to oversee all the work that was being done on the house in the wake of those inspection reports before closing She was even able to reassure us Easterners about the earthquakes and interceded with the school district so we could register our daughter for classes before the closing was official

It would have been very difficult for us to handle all of those details long distance and we appreciate all of Ducky's Time. She's impressive!

In October, 1993 we closed escrow on our residence on 18713 Metier Court, in Saratoga We chose Ducky Grabell because of her reputation in the real estate Industry. We felt our property would be a challenge because our property backed up to the new 85 freeway and recently a large power pole was installed on the property. An aggressive agent who was greatly admired was our needed goal in successfully closing this transaction.
